Wattletree Psychology is a team of registered psychologists in East Malvern who work independently and collaboratively to achieve the best outcome for their clients.
The group consists of Clinical Psychologists, Dr Heather McCormack, Dr Ester Klimkeit and Dr Deborah Freiberg-Golvan; Counselling Psychologist and Family Therapist, Nerida Collins; and Psychologists Dr Sarah Cotton, Anne-Marie Davis, Jennifer Finemore, Louise Buchanan and Sabina Read.
The Wattletree Psychology Group offers professional, outcome-focused services with specialist expertise in working with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples. Our breadth of expertise means that we are able to provide assistance to our clients for a wide range of difficulties in accordance with individual interests and strengths. We work in conjunction with medical and other allied health professionals, and have contacts with local doctors and schools.
In addition to our work with clients, we are a teaching practice and are involved in supervision and training of practising health professionals, and supervision of Masters and Undergraduate Psychology students.
GP ALERT FOR GROUPS
In order for your patients to be able to claim the Medicare Rebate for group sessions, we will require:
1. A dated written referral letter from yourself to the Psychologist running the group program
- The referral must indicate approval of group services for 6 sessions.
2. You to add the following information to the original Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP; Item 2710)

The name of the Psychologist running the group

The words ‘Group Therapy'
Please do not initiate a 'Review' or a 'New' MHCP unless otherwise required.
