// Dr Heather McCormack PhD MSc BA MAPS

Heather is a registered Clinical and Counselling psychologist, who works with adults. She has extensive experience in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, life adjustment and developmental issues, relationship problems, pain management and psychological issues related to health problems.  Heather uses a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, individual and relationship counselling, hypnosis, and EMDR. Heather works with individuals, couples and also facilitates some of the groups which are run within the practice.

Heather is a member of both the Clinical and Counselling Colleges of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and is also a member of the Australian Society of Hypnotherapy.  Heather is a registered provider with Medicare, Private Health Insurers, TAC, WorkCover and Comcare.

 

// Ms Nerida Collins M Psych MAPS Dip Family Therapy

Nerida is a registered Counselling Psychologist and trained Family Therapist who works with individuals, couples and families. Nerida has specific expertise in couple and marital counselling, parenting, blended family concerns, separation counselling, and counselling around mid-life issues, loss and grief. Nerida works from Cognitive-Behavioural and Systems Theory frameworks to help her clients develop counselling goals following a careful assessment of the presenting issue.  

Nerida is a member of the Australian Psychological Society College of Counselling Psychologists. She is a registered provider with Medicare, TAC, WorkCover and VRAS.

 

// Dr Ester Klimkeit  D Psych(Clinical) BA/B Sc(Hons) MAPS

Ester is a registered Clinical Psychologist who works with children, adolescents and adults.  She has specialist training in working with children and adolescents and also undertakes developmental and educational assessments.  Ester is experienced in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, and health and developmental issues. She works predominately from a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy perspective.

Ester has been involved in teaching health professionals and students in psychological assessment and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society College of Clinical Psychologists and is a registered provider with Medicare and WorkCover.

 

// Dr Deborah Freiberg-Golvan PhD MA BA MAPS

Deborah is a registered Clinical Psychologist who has extensive experience working with children, teenagers and young adults, families, parents and individual adults with behavioural, relationship, emotional and developmental problems including anxiety, depression, body image issues, trauma and grief. She has specialist training in working with children and adolescents and also undertakes cognitive and personality assessments. Deborah uses a psychodynamic framework which involves listening closely to patients' concerns and understanding these in light of experiences and relationships over time. Her work is also underpinned by a practical, problem solving approach to issues that takes into account family dynamics and the individual's place in the wider community. 

Deborah is a member of the Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and is a registered provider with Medicare, Private Health Insurers, TAC and WorkCover.

 

// Dr Clare Heaney D Psych, Grad Dip App Psych MAPS

Clare is a registered Clinical Psychologist who provides psychological therapy to adolescents and adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress reactions, life adjustment difficulties, eating disorders, low self-esteem, and chronic pain. Clare also provides psychological therapy to individuals and couples experiencing relationship problems. Clare works predominantly within a Cognitive Behavioural framework, as well as incorporating principles from positive psychology models. Clare is also a trained provider of Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Clare has experience working in hospital, community, and private practice settings. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society College of Clinical Psychologists, and is a registered provider with Medicare, Private Health Insurers, Workcover, and TAC.

 

// Dr Sarah Cotton PhD BA(Hons) MAPS

Sarah is a registered Psychologist who facilitates psycho-educational, and skills training groups at our clinic.  She is currently involved in running 'Assertive Living' , ‘Thinking Well', and ‘Core Beliefs' groups. These group programs may help to assist participants in managing their relationships, become more aware of their thinking patterns, and understand the interaction between thoughts, emotions and behaviours.

Sarah has worked in a variety of settings including ‘not-for-profit' organizations, industry and universities.  Sarah is a registered provider with Medicare, WorkCover and TAC.

// Rowena Henebery MPsych  MAPS

Rowena is a registered Psychologist who works with adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, life adjustment issues and low self-esteem. Rowena also provides psychological therapy to individuals and couples experiencing relationship problems. Rowena works predominantly within a Cognitive Behavioural framework, as well as incorporating principles from Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Positive Psychology models. Rowena is also a qualified Secondary Teacher.

Rowena is registered with the Psychologists Registration Board of Victoria and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She is also a registered provider with Medicare, WorkCover, TAC and Private Health Insurers.

 

// Marissa Warland  MPsych  MAPS

Marissa is a registered psychologist and Member of the Australian Psychological Association (MAPS). She has received training in solution-focused therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness. Her approach to therapy is solution-oriented, respectful, and client-centred, aiming to effectively respond and assist clients with a wide range of presenting problems such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship and life adjustment issues and promoting self-development. A typical session is used to examine beliefs and approaches that are not working for the client, and help them find creative and flexible ways to approach these problems by providing information, constructive feedback, and practical strategies where possible to help them better understand their experience and develop ways to better respond to their needs.

Marissa is a registered provider with Medicare, WorkCover, TAC and private health insurers.

 

// Jennifer Finemore Psychologist  MAPS

Jennifer has extensive experience in conducting psychological and educational assessments in relation to exploring options for academic study or career pathways, which best suit each individual’s strengths and weaknesses. Jennifer is skilled in conducting professional development workshops, in the field of learning disabilities and learning strategies, suited to a range of professionals. Jennifer is also an experienced counsellor and has worked for many years in a University setting.  Jennifer is experienced in working with adults on issues such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, stress management, memory and attentional problems, student issues, learning difficulties and learning strategies, life transition and adjustment difficulties. 

Jennifer is a registered provider with Medicare and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society. Jennifer is qualified to offer supervision to provisional psychologists.
