// Rates

Fees range between $120 and $140 for a 55 minute consultation. These rates are set below the APS Recommended Rate of $200 (for 2008-2009) per one-hour consultation session. Preparation of legal reports is billed at full APS rates. Home visits are billed at $150 per 55 minutes.

// Rebates

Many people will be eligible for a medicare rebate covering part of their consultation for up to 12 individual sessions. Medicare rebates may also be possible for participants undertaking group therapies. Please see your GP prior to your first consultation to obtain a referral.

Many doctors require a longer session to make a referral to a psychologist under Medicare, so please let your GPs receptionist know the reason for your visit when you phone to make an appointment.

Rebates may be available from Private Health Insurers for people who do not qualify for a Medicare Rebate, or after 12 sessions have been undertaken. All psychologists working at Wattletree Psychology are registered to provide cover under Workcover, and are able to provide services under the Better Outcomes program. Please speak to your GP about these options if you would like to find out more.

// Payment

Payment is expected in full at the time of consultation. We accept cash, cheque, Visa, Mastercard and EFTPOS at our Malvern Rooms. At the Wheelers Hill rooms we accept cash, cheque, Visa and Mastercard.
